How far along? 31 weeks 6 days (the pictures are from yesterday)
Total weight gain/measurements: I have gained 21 lbs. since my first prenatal appointment which was at 10 weeks. My belly measured 38.5” yesterday.
Maternity clothes: Nothing new this week. Sometimes my maternity jeans feel like they are digging into me at the end of the day and I need to change into yoga pants or leggings. The worst are the ones from Old Navy because the elastic part is a little tighter than the elastic on the jeans from Destination Maternity. There is no perfect pair though because the leg part of the Old Navy jeans are more comfortable.
Stretch marks: Nope.
Sleep: I am getting enough overall but it's just not all at the same time.
Best moment this week: My midwife appointment and the ultrasound we had yesterday. I didn't want to talk about it until after we got some more information. If you want to hear about what happened then head over to the Alice Manfrida channel and watch the 31 week update video. :)
Miss anything? Nope.
Movement: Yup, so much! I've got an active little baby in there. Now that we are going to our super relaxing HypnoBirthing classes, when we are there the baby goes nuts because I actually have been able to relax. The instructor said that when you actually relax your muscles the baby gets a little more room so it's happy to bump around more.
Food Cravings: It's not really a craving but I've been eating more cereal lately. I'm eating it with the same frequency that I was before, but the amount in the bowls has gotten bigger.
Anything making you queasy or sick? Nope. But my arm is sore. I got a Tdap booster (tetanus, diptheria and pertussis vaccine) because my midwife said that it can help give the baby a little immunity boost for its first couple of months of life, while it doesn't have a strong immune system and hasn't been totally vaccinated yet. She also said it's a good idea to suggest that other people who will be around the baby a lot in those first couple of months make sure that they are up to date on it as well. If you fall in to that category I'm not telling you what to do with your own body, but it's probably not a bad idea to check when the last time you got that shot was. :)
Gender: We don't know. I had to remind all of the people looking into my body with the ultrasound wand this week over and over again not to tell us. I don't mind having to remind them but seriously, I shouldn't need to tell a person twice. If it's your job then you are used to this and just be professional. The end.
Labor signs: Nope.
Symptoms: My perky runner's butt is no more...well, age has sagged that anyway so it's not a big deal, ha ha!! The new addition is cellulite, which I have never had before. It really only bothered me for a day because I was like, WHAT. IS. THAT?! But I'm over it. I don't want to say that I don't care because I'm old enough to be confident because I think plenty of women younger than me have body confidence and plenty of women older than me do not. I just genuinely am not concerned with the state of my backside.
Belly button in or out? Half and half still, but the out half is showing slightly through my clothes now.
Wedding rings on or off? On but a little more snug in the evenings.
Happy or moody most of the time: This week was really rough. (again...see the 31 week video update). I am really glad I decided to take a HypnoBirthing class because that is my new favorite time of the week.
Looking forward to: My diaper bag being delivered! We just ordered it last night so I probably have a little wait but I'm really excited to get it! I picked it out months ago and it's crazy that it's finally close enough to delivery day to actually start buying things!
