Disclosure Statement: This post is in collaboration with PinkBlush Maternity. They gifted me with an item of clothing in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are my own.
I have been keeping my eye on the PinkBlush Maternity website as I wait for the weather to change and my belly to grow. Even a casual glance will show that they have some really cute maternity clothes. I took it as a lesson in positive thinking when PinkBlush reached out to me asking if I'd like to feature them on my blog. Pregnancy is so short that it can be difficult to figure out where to shop. Hopefully this review will help any of you out there who are like me and get a little nervous when shopping online from a retailer that is new to you.
If you've been following along during the last few months, you'll know what a pain it's been trying to find maternity clothing that both fits well and that I like. Keeping in mind that it will be spring and summer soon, I looked through the dress options. I chose the Navy Blue Open Lace Overlay Bell Sleeve Maternity Dress and I'm happy to report that not only is it true to size, it is everything I was looking for. I wanted something comfortable but pretty enough to wear to a nicer occasion (like a wedding or my baby shower) and it needed to be something I wouldn't be too hot in as I would like to get some use out of it over the next few months. The lace gives this dress an interesting texture and the open bell sleeves are the perfect length.
PinkBlush doesn't only carry maternity dresses. Check out their huge selection of tops and bottoms which all range from dressy to super casual – they even have active wear and hospital robes. Another thing to keep in mind is that PinkBlush carries more than just trendy maternity clothes. They also have a women's range for those of you who are not currently pregnant as well as nursing wear, baby items and accessories.
In these pictures I kept things simple by styling the dress simply with gold flats but boots and sandals work just as well for a different vibe. It could also be dressed up with a bold necklace.
I will say that this dress in particular has a lot of fabric going on. My assumption prior to trying it on was that it would be really pretty near the end of my pregnancy once I had a huge bump to support it's shape. Once I put it on I realized that it doesn't disguise my 21 week belly as much as I thought it would. Then I got the bright idea to belt it and I was pleasantly surprised that it works! The fabric drapes nicely out from under the belt eliminating the feeling that I'm swimming in it.
Have you ever bought anything from PinkBlush Maternity? What did you think? I'd love to know as I will probably be heading back over to their website soon to place my own order for some more summer clothes!
Thanks for reading!
