It's Friday! I hope you all had a good week! In case you missed last Friday's post, I am doing a weekly outfit series this month.
Outfit No. 1
The day after Thanksgiving was such a long day! We woke up in New York, had brunch at Steve's brother's place, drove for a million billion hours, stopped at my mom's for some late night pie, and then rolled into Boston around 11pm. Obviously, I was dressed for comfort and warmth. My sweater is so old from Old Navy and the white long sleeved tee is from Ann Taylor. I rolled up my jeans and rolled down my boots, which are new. I also raided my mom's nail polish collection and found a Rimmel polish to put on. It is their Salon Pro with Lycra formula in No. 325 Hot Gossip.
Outfit No. 2
Stella was completely obsessed with us from the moment we walked through the door on Friday night. She was only alone for two days (one overnight) but apparently she really missed us. :) So on Saturday we just hung around in the house all day. I wore a really warm sweater with an over-sized turtleneck which is from Target, super old jeans and fuzzy green socks. I go back and forth about this sweater. It's soft and warm but the collar is so huge that it's kind of annoying to wear my hair down. Normally I wouldn't wear orange but this one is OK because it has some gray flecks mixed in.
Outfit No. 3
I wore this outfit to meet a friend for brunch. I wore my Airport Greeting Cardigan from ModCloth and I did wear a coat over it but I barely needed it. There's a reason people say "if you don't like the weather in New England just wait a minute." It was so cold for days with snow and ice and then all of a sudden it's warm and sunny. I mean it was warmer. I still layered a tank top under a striped tee from Old Navy. The blue and white stripes look a little patriotic when paired with my red nails and Minnetonka moccasins. I went with a side braid because I overslept and didn't have time to dry my hair before we needed to leave.
Outfit No. 4
I've broken out the turtlenecks! Ha ha! I got this one at Target about 100 years ago. I actually have 3 exactly the same (well, 2 are black and 1 is dark gray). They are thin and stretchy and are really great for layering. On top is a thin waterfall cardigan from LOFT, also about 100 years old. My jeans are Ralph Lauren. I got them at Nordstrom Rack.
Outfit No. 5
I stole this sweater from my mom. In certain lighting it's tan and in other lighting it's kind of green. I wore it with my leggings from Zara and my brown boots, which I laced all the way up. My hair was also very fluffy and annoying from being freshly washed.
Outfit No. 6
I've had this burgundy sweater from Target for probably five or six years. It definitely looks its age because the whole thing has pilled in the wash and it's actually a little itchy if I don't wear a long sleeved shirt underneath. But the shoulder seams were made to look inside out and the bottom edge kind of rolls up so it looks unfinished. The bumpy texture that it has now sort of goes with the whole slouchy vibe. I wore knee high black boots over my dark skinny jeans and I was nice and warm when I went out for a walk at lunch time. Thankfully the sun returned for the day because I really couldn't take the depressing clouds any more!
If you haven't been keeping up with my Daily Vlogmas Videos, I've got them in a playlist on my YouTube Channel so you can find them easily. If you've got a little time this weekend you can catch up on the month so far.
Thanks for reading! I hope you all have a great weekend! :)
