We were away this weekend to visit Steve's family. This was the first time that we've left Stella home alone overnight and I wasn't sure what we'd find when we got home. I left her plenty of food, which she didn't even finish, and I put an extra water bowl out. She also left us a nice mess on the floor next to the litter box. I sort of assumed that she'd do that, whether because we weren't going to be around to clean the box or just out of spite for being abandoned.
Regardless, I missed her while we were gone and judging by how she stayed under foot for the whole day once we got home, she missed us, too. It started snowing while we were driving home so we spent all of Sunday afternoon/night in the house. Since it was actually snowing we decided it was about time to finally turn on the heat. (I think my record for holding out is Nov. 5th.) Stella was obsessed with the vents. The noise scared her and then she was confused about how there was hot air blowing out of them. It was pretty funny.
I baked blueberry-walnut muffins and then we parked ourselves on the couch to play video games and watch YouTube. I had some blue sugar so I used that on the muffins. Then we had breakfast for dinner.
Before Steve and I went to bed I thought I'd tuck Stella in. She actually let me do it and stayed that way for much longer than I expected her to. Ha ha ha!
