I want to make these again. Immediately. Ha ha! Peanut butter and chocolate is so good together. I made these the same night that I made turkey chili (I posted the recipe earlier this week here). Baking when it's cold is the best way to get the house to be just a little bit warmer and smelling something yummy in the oven seems to help, too.
Step 1: Buy brownie mix. I went for the fudge kind.
Step 2: Mix up the brownies according to the directions on the box. Pour the mix into a lightly greased baking dish.
Step 3: Slap some of your favorite peanut butter on top. Use as much or as little as you want. I made a 'B' for Brownies because I'm adorable. Ha ha!
Step 4: Use a knife to swirl the peanut butter around in the brownie mix.
Step 5: Bake the brownies according to the directions on the box BUT you might need to adjust the cooking time slightly because the directions on the box are not taking the peanut butter into account. I needed to let mine go a little longer. It probably depends on your oven. Just keep checking it. When you stick the toothpick in to see if it's done you might want to test a few different spots because the peanut butter will be all over the place.
Step 6: Cut up your brownies and stuff your face!!! Brownies are a pain and plastic knives or serrated steak knives seems to work the best to cut them without too much trouble.
